Why Aloe Vera

Do we use Aloe Vera just because it’s “cool”? We most certainly don’t!!!!

In ancient Egypt, Greek and Rome Aloe was already used as an external remedy, to promote the healing process of wound (both in men and in the horses used in battles).

Nearly 3000 years of history allowed us to widen our knowledge, as well as testing the beneficial properties of Aloe Vera.

Aloe contains many elements that make it an excellent soothing agent: carboxypeptidase and bradykinase enzymes, which inhibit the production of prostaglandins, inflammation mediators; magnesium lactate, which inhibits the production of histamine; a glycoprotein which inhibits the production of leukotrienes.

The Aloe gel contains many polysaccharides which stimulate the enhancement of fibroblasts and their production of collagen, in order to make healing faster, in case of wounds, stings, bites, burns and sunburns.

Aloe reduces significantly the exfoliation of skin in subjects affected by chronic psoriasis.

all cosmetic products containing Aloe extracts are effective in protecting against the harmful effects of sun rays. Furthermore, Aloe gel reduces significantly some immunosuppressive effects of UV rays.
